Resumo

Abstract Menispermaceae endocarps from the Mid Tertiary Glencoe locality are referred to the monotypic genus Sarcopetalum. The new species S. jackieae differs from the extant species Sarcopetalum harveyanum F. Muell. in possessing less pronounced spines on the mesodorsal ridges and less robust ridges on the laterodorsal surface. Keywords: Menispermaceae Sarcopetalum TertiaryendocarpsAustraliamacrofossils
