Air water two phase flow data are used to develop flow regime maps for conditions from vertically downward flow to vertically upward flow. The data were used to check the accuracy of flow regime maps developed by other workers. A detailed analysis indicated that the volumetric ratio QLQG and the Froude number -VT/√gD were the most satisfactory parameters to use in flow regime map presentation.
