ResumoLiterature and photography have been crossing borders since Poe praised the daguerreotype's invention in 1840. This anthology investigates books that juxtapose photographs and written language, considering various genres and nationalities. The anthology also expands critical inquiry by drawing from gender theories, psychoanalysis, Marxism, poststructuralism, and cultural studies.
