Resumo

A method for calculating and evaluating dental roentgenographic unsharpness is described. Experimental results show that the unsharpness of an image made with conventional exposure factors and of an object of representative dental roentgenographic density can be reduced by 50 to 65 per cent by the use of slow films instead of fast films. Precise application of the results to the problems associated with dental roentgenology requires further study of the problems discussed.
