ResumoA new type of magnetophonon effects, i.e. the magnetophonon resonance recombination with two TA-phonon emission was investigated in Hg1−xMnxTe with x-value of about 0.5% by using high quality LPE crystals. Several peaks were observed in the second derivative curves of longitudinal magnetoresistance under heated electron condition. In the cases of magnetic field H‖〈111〉 and H‖〈110〉, a couple of peaks observed in the highest fields could not be assigned to band-to-band transitions. They were interpreted as the transitions between an impurity state and the ground Landau-level of the conduction band with emission of two TA- phonons whose energies, 2ħ;ΩTA, are 5.2 and 6.2 meV, respectively. Other observed peak positions showed excellent agreement with an interpretation of band-to-band transitions based on the above mentioned values of 2ħΩTA and the exchange parameter β = 0.62 eV which were determined recently in the same type of experiments in HgTe and in Hg1−xMnxTe with x = 1%. In the samples with x = 0.5%, the location of the impurity state in a magnetic field was determined as 1.8–2.2 meV above the top of the valence band.
