Abstract Branching ratios have been measured for all of the classified transitions from six levels in Fe I above 6 eV for which the lifetimes had been measured earlier by the beam-foil method. Good agreement is found between the transition probabilities derived from these branching ratios and other recent measurements by quite different techniques. A comparison of our results with those of Corliss and Tech indicates that the CT tables yield reliable branching ratios only for the stronger transitions.
