Resumo

Hallucinations are common among patients with Parkinson's disease, especially at an advanced stage of the disease, when the patient already has substantial motor dysfunction, cognitive impairment, and depression. The hallucinations, and the delusions that may accompany them, add considerably to the difficulties that patients and their caregivers face. These symptoms have recently been addressed in several studies. 1 Fenelon G Mahieux F Huon R Ziegler M Hallucinations in Parkinson's disease: prevalence, phenomenology and risk factors.
