ResumoThe article reviews the evolution of the Spanish Workers' Socialist Party (PSOE) in a decade in which it has gone from government to opposition and, more recently, back into office after the 2004 general elections. After a troublesome process of leadership renewal, the election of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero started a change in party strategy, as well as a revitalization of the party organization that allowed the PSOE to regain credibility among Spaniards.
