
γ-lactones from Trichilia claussenii

ResumoFour new γ-lactones: (2R,3S, 4S)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(13′-phenyl-1′-n-tridecyl)-butanolide, (2R,3S,4S)-3-hydroxy-4- methyl-2-(11′-phenyl-1′-n-undecyl)-butanolide, (2R,3S,4S)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(1′-n-hexadec-7′(Z)-enyl)-butanolide and (2R,3S,4S)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(1′-n-tetradecyl)-butanolide were isolated from T. claussenii. The absolute configuration of the isolated compounds was determined. The methanol extract of fruits of Trichilia claussenii yielded the new γ-lactones, (2R,3S, 4S)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(13′-phenyl-1′-n-tridecyl)-butanolide, (2R,3S,4S)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(11′-phenyl-1′-n-undecyl)-butanolide, (2R,3S, 4S)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(1′-n-hexadec-7′(Z)-enyl)butanolide and (2R,3S, 4S)-3-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-(1′-n-tetradecyl)-butanolide. The structures of the isolated compounds were determined on the basis of spectral analysis.
