ResumoR ecurrent aseptic meningitis due to spontane• ous rupture of an intracranial epidermoid cyst is rare, and a variety of other causes should be considered in the differential diagnosis. Among these, Mollaret's endothelio-leukocytic meningitis is of particular interest because of the close similarities between the clinical features and abnormal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) findings observed in these two diseases. We report a case of epidermoid cyst presenting as aseptic meningitis and present a review of the literature suggesting that these two diseases are the same entity.
