ResumoThe luminescence of SrB4O7:Bi consists of an orange and a blue emission. The former is ascribed to Bi2+ (6s26p) in view of a comparison with the spectra of Tl0 and Pb+ and the influence of some preparative conditions. The latter is ascribed to Bi3+.
