Hattersley-Smith of the Defence Research Board pointed out to the authors that the name “Drummond Glacier” was not officially in use and required the approval of the Canadian Permanent Committee on Geographical Names. The name was therefore submitted as being suitable for the glacier, particularly as it had been in common usage for some time, and it was subsequently approved by the Committee on Geographical Names, Department of Mines and Technical Surveys. 2 Gardner, J., J.
