Crystal Structures and Properties

We have prepared single crystals of T2SiO5 and T2GeO5 in a Bi2O3 flux. We define the experimental conditions to obtain these single crystals as well as the results as a function either of the different rate earths or of the ratio of constituents. We give the crystallographic parameters of the rare earths compounds isomorphes with Y2SiO5 having ionic radii between those of Tb and Lu inclusive.
