Resumo

In September 1964 observations on the feeding behavior of little tuna (Euthynnus alletteratus) were made at Cannouan Island, Grenadine Islands, Lesser Antilles. The observations took place at night during a night-light station in shallow water. Little tuna were observed to form a phalanx-like orientation while apparently feeding on a large aggregation of dwarf herring (Jenkinsia lamprotaenia) directly under the floating night-light. Similar behavior patterns have not been reported on previously.
