ResumoAbstract Extract Arsenic poisoning of man and animals has been a problem since earliest times. That it is still a problem in livestock husbandry in New Zealand was shown by Staples (1964) Staples, E. L. J. 1964. Veterinary toxicology in New Zealand: A review of 1236 cases of poisoning. J. Sci. Technol. (Aberdeen), 10: 129–154. [Google Scholar], who reported on 345 cases of poisoning diagnosed at Wallaceville Animal Research Centre over the period 1951 to 1960.
