Evidence and hypotheses on the Atacama of the Puna of Jujuy and the Quebrada of Humahuaca.The pre-hispanic socio-political organization on the altiplano of Jujuy and in the Quebrada of Humahuaca is documented by numerous names of caciques and Indian groups. Using the data of archaeology and ethno-history, the Author attempts to reconstruct the regional cultural dynamics, and especially focuses on both inter-ethnic relationships and the relative time-depth of these groups.
