Comparative Animal Anatomy Studies

The arterial pattern of 134 horse testicles has been studied from different methods. The testicle was supplied by a single testicular artery in 79,10% of the cases. The division into two branches before entry into the organ was seen in 17,16% of the cases. The other testicles studied were supplied by three separate branches all originating from the extratesticular part of the testicular artery. Different connections of variable importance exist mainly between the vessels supplying the epididymis and the mesorchium (deferential artery and branches of testicular artery) and the significant arteries of the testicle. Die Arterien von 134 Pferdehoden wurden mit verschiedenen Methoden untersucht. Der Hode wird in 79,10% der Fälle durch nur eine A. testicularis versorgt. In 17,16% der Fälle erfolgte eine Zweiteilung, in allen anderen Fällen eine Dreiteilung vor dem Organeintritt. Mehrere Anastomosen unterschiedlicher Stärke existieren vornehmlich zwischen den Aa. Testiculares propriae und den Arterien des Nebenhodens und des Mesorchium (A. deferentialis und Kollateralen der A. testicularis). La vascularización arterial del testiculo se estudió en 134 caballos mediante diferentes métodos. En un 79,10 % de los casos, sólo una A, testicularis irrigó el testículo. Una división de la arteria en dos ramas se encontré en un 17,16 %, mientras que en los demás casos la arteria se divideó en tres ramas antes de penetrar en el órgano. Anastomosis de tamaño variable existen especialmente entre las arterias propias del testiculo y las del epidídimo y del mesorquio (A. deferentialis y colaterales de la A. testicularis).
