Resumo

Moffatt [1] has given a series solution for the steady flow of a viscous fluid in the neighbourhood of a sharp corner. A method of incorporating this solution into a finite difference scheme is described here, for the case of a rectangular re-entrant corner. Only minor adjustments to the usual finite difference scheme are required. Computational results for the flow through a contraction geometry are given.
