The records of the reunions of this association are rich in retrospect. It would appear that in our earlier years our members were unacquainted with the custom of presidential addresses. Anticipating what is to be suffered by you in the present instance, those were happier days. It was not until the 1882 meeting that this feature on the program seemed to have become a fixation.
