ResumoThis article shows how cannibalism links symbolically and aesthetically the famous European-centered Dada and Surrealism movements and the lesser known Brazilian Antropofagia movement. Via manifestos and creations such as collages, these three avant-gardes indeed consume and devour each other, turning innovation into tradition, and the new into the old, before renewing it.
