Resumo

Primary rib tumors are as frequently benign as they are malignant. Whether the tumor is benign or malignant is often a difficult decision unless careful and detailed studies are made grossly and microscopically. All primary tumors of the ribs should be removed regardless of whether they are thought to be benign or malignant, unless contraindications exist to surgery.
