From the exudate of the bark of Ficus macrophylla Desf., cycloartenol, butyrospermol, and lupeol were isolated as their acetates. The leaves contained nonacosane, triacontane, hentriacontane, dotriacontane, tritriacontane, "ceryl alcohol", and a new triterpene, moretenol. By degradative and mass spectrometric studies, the latter was shown to b3 3β-hydroxy-2lαH-hop-28-ene.
