ResumoReaction of phosphonate anions with enantiomerically pure (camphorsulfonyl)oxaziridines results in formation of nonracemic α-hydroxy phosphonates. This enantioselective hydroxylation methodology provides convenient access to optically active α-hydroxy phosphonates and their corresponding phosphonic acids.
