Resumo

Pedronia festeriana Lizer y Trelles is found on Cereus aethiops, Cleistocactus baumannii, Eriocereus bonplandii and E. martinii in Argentina. It severely distorts the growing tips and could possibly be used to control these weed cacti. The species is transferred to Hypogeococcus and redescribed from material collected recently in Argentina. Pseudococcus eriocerei is described as new also from the roots of Eriocereus bonplandii .
