He received his doctorate from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2012. His thesis, entitled Enlightenment Liberalism and the Challenge of Pluralism, focuses on the nexus between liberalism and forms of pluralism. He has been a reviewer for The Philosophical Forum, and is particularly interested in the political application of Richard Rorty, value pluralism and agonistic accounts of post-foundational politics. He is currently writing papers on George Crowder's account of value pluralism, and Richard Rorty's post-foundational political position as interpreted through the lens of Chantal Mouffe's distinction between 'politics' and 'the political'.
