ResumoThis wretched Markhamian tract was evidently written by a man with but little education. He admits his work is not original, and that he has digested and" modelized " that of others, so as to form a work better than" ever any before printed."He repeatedly employs the expression" Farring," and says that in the work of other authors there has always been a something wanting to render it a complete" Book of Farring."He drew on Blundeville, De Gray, and Markham.and was a firm believer in the influence of the planets.A large space is devoted to drugs, and the book is full of ignorant Cl,ssurances and cures. It is a worthless and pernicious production and consequently ran into several editions.I have only seen that of 1720.Arber is responsible
