Structural Engineering and Vibration Analysis

The Madejski Stadium is a purpose-built stadium for Reading Football Club. The achievement of an elegant, very lightweight and cost-effective structural solution that was fabricated and erected safely, easily and on time demonstrates the great potential that exists when the designer, fabricator and erector work together closely with the same ambitions. This paper describes how the overall design concept developed in order to meet the requirements of the Owner. It describes the principles adopted in the design and the form of the structure developed, and discusses key elements of the programme, fabrication and erection.
