Autores ResumoThere is an episode of The Simpsons in which a jalopy screeches to a halt in front of the family's house. Homer is thrown from the vehicle. "Duh, stay out of Riverdale", threatens a lantern-jawed passenger, and the car accelerates away. British viewers could be forgiven for not getting the joke, but for American audiences the Homer-defenestrating Big Moose, and associated chums—Archie, Jughead, Betty, and the gang—would be a familiar sight. Archie comics have been going strong in the USA since 1942, part of an abundant tradition of syndicated comic strips that occupy a daily spot in newspapers across the country.
