Resumo

Two of the three dimethylamido ligands in 1 (M = Nb, Ta) can be readily replaced by doubly deprotonated 2,2-bis(cyclopentadienyl)propane to give 2, which undergoes an η1: η5 ⇌ η5: η1 coordination exchange equilibrium with a rather low activation barrier, leading to the (S, R)/(R,S) racemate.
