ResumoEl-Kowm II Caracol is located half way between Palmyra and the Euphrates. This low-lying tell has revealed six architectural levels dating from 8 000 to 7 500 BP. The site consists of a definitely final PPNB without ceramics, characterised by a varied and original architecture and an agro-pastoral economy augmented by the exploitation of wild resources.
