Margaret McCarthy is assistant professor of German at Davidson College, where she teaches twentieth-century German literature and film. She has published articles on Ingeborg Bachmann, Jutta Brückner, Luc Besson, and G. W. Pabst. At present she is coediting a volume on German popular film with Randall Halle.
