ResumoStable nitrile oxides react with Pt(PPh3)2L (L = PPh3,C2H4) to give 1 : 1 products; X-ray studies show that the nitrile oxide is deoxygenated by triphenyl-phosphine and that a phenyl group migrates to the platinum atom to give the complexes [Pt(Ph)(OPPh2)(RCN)(PPh3)].
