This paper will describe a minimally invasive approach for the reduction and internal fixation of closed displaced fractures of the calcaneus. This technique provides for adequate exposure to accomplish the goals for successful reduction and fixation without soft-tissue compromise. This approach also reduces the significant risk of postoperative infection associated with a more extended lateral approach.
