ResumoWith the emergence of market relations, the reform of the system of vocational guidance for young people in school makes it essential to carry out sociological research in this sphere. To this end, the Center for Integrated Sociological Research at the Krasnoiarsk Pedagogical University regularly monitors the current state and development of general education schools in Krasnoiarsk Krai. In 1994 the Center surveyed participants in the educational process in thirteen city and village schools of the krai (covering 768 students in the graduating classes [ninth and eleventh grades], 740 parents, and 405 teachers).
