Luminescence Properties of Advanced Materials

Compounds with composition Ln(pic)3·3(2-picNO)·H2O (Ln  La - Lu, Y, pic = picrate) were synthesized and characterized by microanalytical procedures, X-ray powder patterns, electrolytic conductance data, IR and visible absorption (Nd3+) and emission (Eu3+) spectra. A C3ν symmetry and a monocapped octahedral geometry were attributed to the complex species.
