Resumo

The variation in the sensitivity of proteins to some commonly used protein assay procedures was estimated by a calculation of the ideal titer per unit weight of protein for a sample of 350 proteins. On the basis of such calculations, the variation expected of nitrogen-based assay procedures is expected to be small, and such procedures are considered to give a more consistent quantification of a variety of proteins than other commonly used assay procedure.
