January 01 2008 Australia's Post-Olympic Apocalypse? Edward Scheer Edward Scheer Edward Scheer lectures in the School of Theatre, Performance, and Cultural Policy Studies, University of Warwick. He is a founding editor of the journal Performance Paradigm and has completed a book on Mike Parr's performance art and two books on Antonin Artaud and performance aesthetics: 100 Years of Cruelty: Essays on Artaud and Antonin Artaud: A Critical Reader. He is chairman of the board of directors of the Performance Space in Sydney and a long-term viewer of contemporary performance in Sydney. His current Australia Research Council funded project is a study of time and performance in nineteenth-century experiments in art and science.
