ResumoBesides nine known terpenoids, two new compounds, a chalcone glucoside and a lignan glucoside have been isolated from the roots of Pyracantha coccinea (Rosaceae). The structures of these two products were identified as (3R,4R) 2-hydroxy-3,4-bis(3.5-dimetoxy-4-β-D-glucopyranosiloxybezyl)tetrahydrofuran (1) and 4′,6′-dihydroxy-2′-methoxy-chalcone-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2) by detailed spectral studies including COSY, NOESY, HETCOR, and COLOC nmr techniques.
