Resumo

Formation of dimethylacetylene from two  CCH3 moieties is found to take place on reaction of the methylcarbyne complex X(CO)4WCCH3 (XCl, Br) with the donor ligand methylenebis(diphenylarsane). The dinuclear complex (1) is obtained. Phenylcarbyne complexes react differently.
