Abstract A new route allowing the synthesis of pyridazine‐3,6‐dicarboxylic acid in preparative quantities is described. The crystal structure of this compound is reported. Several polyaza derivatives were prepared and their structures determined by specroscopic methods (ir, 1 H and 13 C nmr).
