During thelast several years, the potential benefits of indocyanine green (ICG) angiography for imaging choroidal neovascularization (CNV) have been discussed in many publications 1-17 and at scientific meetings 18,19 that have focused on agerelated macular degeneration. Some ophthalmologists specifically refer patients to a center for performance and interpretation of ICG angiography for a variety of macular disorders. A few of our patients scan the medical literature and then ask whether their macular abnormalities will be imaged with ICG. Ophthalmologists who train at our institution ask for guidance on what they should learn about ICG angiography. Many physicians around the world have asked us whether ICG angiography can help preserve the vision of our patients.
