ResumoAs situacoes de risco que envolvem criancas e adolescentes, especialmente as oriundas de familias de baixa renda, exigem um repensar das estrategias de enfrentamento dos problemas. A Secretaria Municipal da Crianca de Curitiba, atraves da Gerencia de Programas Socio-Preventivos, em parceria com o Setor de Educacao da UFPR, se lanca a este trabalho. Realizou-se, entao, uma pesquisa junto a 2096 criancas e adolescentes, com idade entre 10 e 17 anos, de ambos os sexos, atendidas nos turnos da manha e tarde, pelas vinte e nove Unidades PIAS, pela Casa do Pequeno Jornaleiro e pelas ONGs conveniadas. Assim, sao objetivos deste artigo difundir a fase de investigacao e socializar algumas das reflexoes possiveis desenvolvidas a partir da nocao de vulnerabilidade e sua adequacao na relacao com a situacao da infância e da adolescencia. Abstract Risky situations involving children and teenagers, specially the poor ones, required a second thought on strategies to face these problems. The Municipal Children´s Bureau in Curitiba , by means of the Socio-Preventive Managing Programs and the help from the School of Education of the Federal University of Parana , is launching a new task. 2,096 male and female children, from 10 to 17 years old, were researched, during mornings and afternoons by 29 PIAS Units, the Little Newspaper Children Units and ONG exchange programs. This paper aims at publicizing the investigation period and some possible reflexions about it, from a notion of vulnerability and its appropriateness to children and teenagers at present.
