Resumo

This work describes the assembly of an electrical device for production and detection of electromagnetic pulses. Initially, we present a brief historical overview of the pioneering experiments using electromagnetic pulses performed by Hertz. The materials needed for assembling the device are described and then some experiments are proposed to show the polarization of the pulses produced. A modification in the receiving device allows the capture of the electromagnetic signal over great distances. Finally, applications of this device in the High School level are discussed.
