ResumoFor pt.I see ibid., vol.20, p.6477-91 (1987). Stark widths and shifts of Kr I, Kr II lines and of Xe I, Xe II lines have been measured, flashtubes being the plasma source. Electron densities and temperatures vary over the ranges 0.76-1.62*1018 cm-3, 14300-17400 K for krypton and 0.47-1.34*1018 cm-3, 12600-15800 K for xenon. The Stark parameters obtained are compared with experimental data from the literature. The results show a relative lowering of the Stark parameters against the electron density which may be interpreted as a dense plasma effect.
