ResumoInabeth Miller conducts a personal tour through many of the highlight experiments in distance learning over the past 25 years. She looks at the places and people who have been the innovators, their successes and failures. While the major emphasis is on higher education, several examples come from her K-12 experience. Special attention has been paid to faculty concerns and the need for innovative practices to match the technologies. Finally, she questions the efficacy of technological solutions in building a literate society that can address societal problems.
