The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has made available a new computer service for obtaining model values of the geomagnetic elements, such as declination and total field intensity. The service is part of the on‐line information system of the USGS Branch of Global Seismology and Geomagnetism and is based on an interactive program called GEOMAG. The system is accessible with a computer terminal and modem over the commercial telephone network or (from outside Colorado only) a toll‐free WATS line.
