ResumoParental vaccine hesitancy is a growing problem affecting the health of children and the larger population. This article describes the evolution of the vaccine hesitancy movement and the individual, vaccine-specific and societal factors contributing to this phenomenon. In addition, potential strategies to mitigate the rising tide of parent vaccine reluctance and refusal are discussed.
