ResumoGamma-base titanium-aluminides were produced by reactive hot isostatic pressing (RHIP) of cold extruded titanium-aluminium elemental powder mixtures. Various RHIP temperatures as well as additional heat treatments were applied in order to obtain different microstructures. Compression samples were tested between room temperature and 900°C. Changes in microstructure during compression such as microcracking, inhomogeneous deformation and dynamic recrystallization were investigated. The measured properties are discussed with respect to microstructure.
