Resumo

Moments in pseudorapidity intervals at the CERN Sp\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{}pS collider (\ensuremath{\surd}s =546 GeV) are analyzed by means of two probability distributions in the pure-birth stochastic process. Our results show that a probability distribution obtained from the Poisson distribution as an initial condition is more useful than that obtained from the Kronecker \ensuremath{\delta} function. Analyses of moments by Koba-Nielsen-Olesen scaling functions derived from solutions of the pure-birth stochastic process are also made. Moreover, analyses of preliminary data at \ensuremath{\surd}s =200 and 900 GeV are added.
