We give a formulation of the N=2 supersymmetric massive scalar multiplet for which the N=2 supersymmetry algebra closes off shell. The action is given in terms of the fields of the N=2 tensor multiplet. These fields have the unexpected property of vanishing central charge: they correspond to neutral bilinears in the usual physical fields.
